PCTI, the supplier of Docman, have been awarded a contract to supply Docman to most of the practices across NHS Southwark. The project will entail moving 30 practices from their existing document scanning solution, Apollo Scan software, to the Docman platform.
In addition to the project, practices will receive PCTI’s EDT module to receive electronic documents into Docman. Practices will also receive the advanced Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software Intellisense, to automate the filing process by intelligently detecting the filing details. This will ensure documents are received instantly from hospitals, filed quickly and efficiently with minimal user intervention to enter a workflow for a GP.
Practices will also benefit from PCTI’s latest next-generation module iWorkflow. The software incorporates intelligent routing based on assigned actions, streamlining the creation and processing of workflows to enable GP’s to process workflows with one mouse-click.
Rene Mehta, Head of Information Systems, NHS Southwark “EDT was the main driver behind the PCT’s decision to deploy Docman. Access to hospital letters has never been more important to Primary Care. Docman offers us a proven resilient solution.”
“The next generation iWorkflow module offers very tangible benefits to our practices over other document management products that we’ve tried. The single-click functionality will afford staff, admin and clinical alike, the ability to use more of their working day focusing upon direct patient care.”
Ric Thompson, Managing Director, PCTI, “We are delighted to have another group of practices moving to Docman, joining over 5,000 others using the solution. Practices will now be able to achieve paper-light status, automate processes to create many efficiency gains and reduce costs.”
“There are many exciting new developments coming soon for Docman, already we are lining up for a great year providing many further efficiency gains than ever before. Back Office for Docman will not only improve practices non-clinical document management, but further enhance operations and even support GP consortia manage the new workload.”
