Docman held a local workshop to support GP practices across the Redditch and Bromsgrove area to share best practice, watch demonstrations, discover new modules and learn more about the benefits of their Docman GP software.
The workshop, which was held at The Dow Surgery in Redditch, was attended by 15 local practices. A wide range of practice staff were in attendance, from Secretaries and Practice Managers to the CCG IT Lead.
The experienced Docman Training Consultant began the session with an overview and demonstration of the newest Docman GP release, version 71280. Attendees were shown a demonstration of the recent changes and new features that have been introduced to further streamline practice processes.
The most prominent change to Docman GP is the newly designed tile-layout which allows you to customise their home screens and highlight the most important information, such as urgent workflows. Practices were shown how to customise their own home pages or set-up templates to ensure that each of their users have access to the areas of Docman that they use the most frequently.
Next, practices were shown the latest updates to iWorkflow, the intuitive workflow solution designed to generate time savings by reducing clicks and automatically routing documents to the correct recipient.
Attendees were shown updates to Intellisense, the clinical content recognition software used to automatically detect patient and filing data.
Docman BackOffice, the complete back office management module was demonstrated to attendees, including the Address Book, Library and Apps functionality.
Practices can benefit from full workflow functionality when using BackOffice Library to store and retrieve non-clinical documents such as policies and protocols. Attendees spoke positively about using BackOffice Library for CQC, as the workflow functionality allows them to send new protocols to each member of the practice, with a full audit trail.
The session ended with a discussion around Docman’s audited collaboration software, Community Collaborator, which allows professionals from multiple care settings to securely discuss and share patient information.
Carl Downing, IT Manager, The Dow Surgery “The workshop was very well presented by a trainer and team who were clearly experienced in their field and put their message across in a relaxed and friendly manner, allowing our staff members the opportunity to increase their knowledge and skillset which will only enhance their future experience of this still excellent product.”
Neal Fitzpatrick, Docman Account Manager “The workshop was well attended with representation from over 15 practices. The feedback from attendees was very positive with many commenting that they had benefited from the training and planned to put what they had learned in to practice immediately. We plan to hold more workshops in the area to offer the practices a continued support and ensure they get the most out of their Docman software.”
