PCTI, the provider of Docman, has been shortlisted in the prestigious General Practice Awards 2012 for significant contributions to efficiency savings across General Practice.
The entry highlighted the considerable time and cost savings Docman and EDT Hub delivers. Over 70 Trusts use the innovative electronic document transfer solution, EDT Hub to deliver patient letters electronically direct to GP practices, while the 5,500 practices using Docman receive documents electronically into the heart of the Docman workflow, removing the overhead of scanning paper, patient matching and populating key filing fields. These solutions typically save a Hospital Trust up to £1 per clinical letter and a GP practice almost 50 seconds of processing time per document.
Ric Thompson, Managing Director, PCTI “We are delighted to be shortlisted in the IT Supplier of the Year Category and to be formally recognised for the cost and time efficiencies our solutions provide. Our vision is to enable the NHS to deliver ‘paper free care’ and to join up health communities.”
The General Practice Award winners will be announced on 1st November at the Hilton Park Lane, London. Last year’s event was attended by over 450 GPs, nurses and practice managers, and over 900 are expected this year.
